With integrity, curiosity and passion for the development of people and ventures.
Bertram Valentin has 20 years of leadership experience in various companies. He worked as Finance and IT Director in Paris and was responsible for the reorganization and sale of a group of companies. As CEO of Standard Life Aberdeen’s German and Austrian operations, within 16 years he developed the business from a startup to a highly respected market player with half a million customers and $ 10 billion in assets.
Bertram gradually shifted his focus from strategic and operational topics to leadership challenges and the importance of creating a corporate culture that enables people to develop their full creative and productive potential.
Quite unusual for a coach, Bertram studied mathematics and earned an MBA from the highly renowned business school INSEAD in Fontainebleau. Thanks to executive programs at INSEAD he could ‘test’ modern leadership approaches and methods over many years in practice. His education and professional experience helps him to understand the client’s challenges with great clarity.
Bertram is a certified professional Co-Active Coach. This type of training is considered to be a state-of-the-art coaching training.
Bertram set up his own business as a Leadership Coach in 2014 (Valentin Consulting). As an experienced and entirely neutral sparring partner, he supports executives in gaining in-depth awareness of themselves and their challenges, in experimenting with new perspectives and behaviors, and in developing their own authentic leadership style. Bertram is an accredited member of the CoachSource network, one of the world’s most experienced leadership coaching companies.
Bertram loves music. He plays piano and trumpet in a big band. He is also an active mountaineer and hiker.
